INTRODUCTION

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the most prevalent inflammatory skin diseases, preferentially affecting children, with flares of inflammatory lesions and a permanent background of skin dryness. It is associated with itchy, red, swollen plaques and dry, cracked skin. This is a chronic condition where emollients, and Emollients+ are the foundation of treatment. Anti-inflammatory drugs (topicals/systemics) are recommended based on the severity of atopic dermatitis. One of the most documented consequences of AD on babies and children is a decrease in quality of sleep, this could lead, in the growing child, to difficulties in managing emotions and behavioral problems.
