FIP WORLD CONGRESS 2026

Since 1912, FIP congresses are international research and educational events focused on providing pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists with the latest academic updates to drive progress toward better health outcomes, equitable access to essential medicines and resilient health systems worldwide.

We are proud to announce that L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty will be present for the first time at this year’s 84th Congress in Montreal. Representing our iconic brands (La Roche-Posay, Dercos, CeraVe), we are committed to showcasing our latest dermatological innovations and supporting the evolution of pharmaceutical care in Dermatology.

SAVE THE DATE: LRP SYMPOSIUM

Symposium room: Room 524

Pharmacists represent one of the most accessible points of contact in healthcare, yet their role in dermatological care remains largely unstructured and underrecognized. A landmark global needs assessment conducted by the International Federation of Pharmacy (FIP), in partnership with La Roche-Posay, reveals that 86% of community pharmacists receive dermatological queries on a daily or near-daily basis — across 51 countries and all major world regions. Despite this reality, fewer than 23% have access to dermatology-specific guidelines, specific education hours are dropping, and confidence levels are often overestimated in areas such as differential diagnosis, triage, and referral decision-making.

Skin diseases are increasing every year and have been recognized as a global public health priority since May 2025 by the WHO. As access to dermatology care becomes increasingly difficult, pharmacists are uniquely positioned to improve early identification, appropriate management, and timely referral. This symposium addresses a critical and evidence-based question: how do we translate pharmacists' existing proximity to patients into structured, competent, and confident dermatological care?
