EVERY YEAR, SOLAR UV EXPOSURE CAUSES SKIN CANCERS, PREMATURE PHOTOAGING AND OTHER SKIN TROUBLES. A LARGE-SCALE EPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDY CONDUCTED BY LA ROCHE-POSAY IN 2021 REVEALS THAT SOLAR PROTECTION HABITS ARE STILL INSUFFICIENT, WITH A LARGE PART OF THE POPULATION MISINFORMED ABOUT THE RISKS OF SUN EXPOSURE. AMONG THE SURVEYED PEOPLE, 57% REGRET NOT HAVING PROTECTED THEMSELVES ENOUGH FROM SUN RISKS. AS CANCER INCIDENCE IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN THE COMING YEARS, RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT SUN EXPOSURE RISKS AND PROMOTING THE USE OF SUNSCREEN ARE KEY TO PROTECT PEOPLE’S SKIN HEALTH.
