According to acne severity, several topical and systemic drugs in mono or adjunctive therapies may be prescribed to manage acne. The efficacy of these treatments is proven but some of them are associated with skin discomforts like skin irritation, dryness, itching, stinging and redness. These skin reactions may alter the adherence to treatments. To evaluate the tolerance of an acne dedicated dermocosmetic containing salicylic acid, Lipohydroxy acid, niacinamide, procerad mannose and APF (a biomass of Vitreoscilla Filiformis grown in TSW) in association with a range of popular topical and systemic drugs, we carried out a meta analysis on 5 observational studies from private consultations data.
