The skin exposome: How can we act? – Patient Leaflet
Exposome is defined as ”the totality of exposures to which an individual is subjected from conception to death”. Exposome includes both the nature of those exposures and their changes over time. The skin exposome encompasses both external and internal factors. The main external factors are: UVs, pollution, climates change factors. The main internal factors are: hormonal variations, nutrition, stress, lack of sleep and tobacco. The biological and clinical skin responses to exposome may vary from skin ageing concerns to the most severe dermatologic diseases.
