Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin condition of the pilo-sebaceous gland (the gland which normally produces sebum) mainly seen an adolescents at puberty, with an increase prevalence in adults, especially adult women. Primary acne lesions are either non inflammatory such as comedons, cysts and inflammatory such as papules, pustules, nodules.
